From February 22nd-28th, Milan's designers put together runways that were nothing short of amazing. Milan is growing to be one best fashion capitals to look forward to, with shows from No.21, Les Copains and my favourite show this year, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. Every designer brought their A-game and made an unforgettable week overall. These were the best looks from the shows that blew me away: 1. No.21 2. Fendi 3. Les Copains 4. Moschino 5. Sportmax 6. Giamba 7. Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini

The 89th Academy Awards were nothing short of entertaining last night. Host Jimmy Kimmel delivered an incredibly hilarious performance, all the way from his opening monologue to his "feud" with Matt Damon. And the biggest shock of the night is when La La Land was accidentally announced as the winner for Best Picture, when it was in fact Moonlight. Aside from the drama onstage, here are all of the best looks from the red carpet to the after party! Chrissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad Janelle Monae in Elie Saab Hailee Steinfeld in Ralph and Russo Taraji P. Henson in Alberta Ferretti Charlize Theron in Dior AFTER PARTY LOOKS:It's Fashion Week! One of my favorite times of the year! This year's Fall Ready-to-Wear collections have been nothing but diverse from Jeremy Scott to Marchesa, here are the best looks from the shows you could not miss! 1. Tommy Hilfiger x Gigi Hadid 2. Weannabe 3. Proenza Schouler 4. Jonathan Simkhai 5. Cushnie et Ochs 6. Narcisco Rodriguez If you missed the 59th Grammy Awards last night, all you really need to know is that Adele took home pretty much everything. The 28 year old singer made a clean sweep for her album 25, taking home Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance. As for the carpet, a lot of the stars who went home empty handed were awarded best dressed in my book. With a lot of gorgeous gowns right off the runway from couture week, there were also some looks that were kind of underwhelming. Here is a look at the great and not-so-great looks from the Grammys. 1. Demi Lovato Demi Lovato had hands down one of the best looks of the night. Channeling a very golden mermaid look with her keyhole cut gown and long wavy locks, her gorgeous tan and makeup were the cherry on top. This Julien MacDonald dress was a great choice, and she did it justice. 2. Rihanna Rihanna is the queen of fashion risks that look effortlessly beautiful. For many, her look last night may have missed the mark, but for others it was truly alluring. The orange sequined crop top with the black textured ball gown may have caused mixed emotions for me at first sight, but as odd as it may sound, I was completely won over once I saw the simplicity of the back of the ensemble. Here she is in a gorgeous Armani gown: 3. Jennifer Lopez Jennifer Lopez has one of my favorite red carpet styles. It is hard to ever find a look of hers that isn't completely my taste, and last night's gown was one of my absolute favourites off of the couture week runway. This Spring 2017 Ralph & Russo gown is the dress of my dreams: 4. Chrissy Teigen Another one of my favourite style stars, Chrissy looked strikingly beautiful as she debuted her new hair cut in a gorgeous floor-length Roberto Cavalli. 5. Beyoncé Although we hardly saw her in this red sequined Peter Dundas gown, the minute we laid eyes we were glued. Her jewels plunging down her chest was the only thing she needed to add to her pregnancy glow. The singer took home two Grammys in this gorgeous gown. 6. Adele Though from a afar this look was not one of my favourites, when we got a closer look, Adele's hair and makeup were enough to tie the whole look together. This Givenchy dress was very pretty on the Grammy winner: 7. Carrie Underwood Another singer with a great red carpet style, safe to say she wowed us in a dazzling red Elie Madi number: Although these were the looks that blew us away, there were some that kind of had us hoping for something better. Though some of them weren't terrible, they were definitely enough to land them here. About a week and a half ago, we watched the hottest celebs take home Screen Actors Guild awards at the 3rd award show of the season. With wins from the cast of Stranger Things all the way to Hidden Figures, it was a hell of a show; with a red carpet to remember. With the whimsicality and delicacy displayed in couture week, this carpet was like a fairy tale. Here are my favorite 10 looks from the night:
The fashion industry is one of the biggest industries in the world. One of the hardest things about fashion design is breaking into the industry among all the world-dominated brands, such as Chanel, Dior, Gucci, etc. The presence of these major fashion houses makes it incredibly difficult for new designers to climb to the top of that fashion ladder, due to the competitiveness and also simply being overlooked. Don't get me wrong though, I absolutely adore these huge brands and idolize how a lot of their companies have withheld an image of timeless elegance over many years. But every so often, I like to search deep in the hearts of Pinterest and find beautiful creations from designers who are not as mainstream. If you are extremely into fashion, you've probably heard of the following, but for those who don't, I highly recommend checking them out! 1. Reem Acra Who could I love more than a designer who shares my name and background? This Lebanese designer is usually more bridal-oriented, but all in all she is quite the designer. You may recognize some of her looks from the red carpets, worn by Jennifer Lopez, Taraji P. Henson, Taylor Swift and more! Here are some of her designs below: 2. Julien MacDonald I personally adore this designer because I think his stuff is so different and interesting. I like his play with textures as well as his crazy cutouts and prints. I don't see his stuff too often on celebs, he sure is rising on the carpets. His looks are usually my favorite of the night, and hard not recognize with his delicate knitting and risqué cutouts. 3. Georges Hobeika Another Lebanese designer, Georges Hobeika is rising to become a very popular name in fashion. His collections embody a lot of detail and delicate designs as well, which continually get more stunning every season. 4. Nicolas Jebran Lebanese fashion designers sure do know how to work couture. This designer has made quite some impressions on a lot of celebrities. Seen on JLO, Kylie Jenner and Kelsea Ballerini, his designs are more intense than others, and are usually quite crazy with the cutouts. Here are some of his looks: 5. Elio Abou Fayssal
Although I have yet to see this designer on celebs, I don't think it will be too long before he makes some red carpet appearances. Fayssal completes the list as yet another Lebanese fashion designer (who's last name is quite similar to mine I might add), who's delicate beading and intricate patterns are exactly what landed him here. Here's to hoping that we see more of him in the future. To me, there's nothing better than award season. All of my favourite celebrities getting dressed up in couture gowns to celebrate the success of the movies I watched throughout the year. It's my favourite combination. This years Golden Globes took place on January 8th, 2017, and had one of the best red carpets I've ever seen. From plunging necklines to the most glamorous ball gowns, here were the looks you did not want to miss: Check out some of the best looks at the InStyle after party!
From January 23rd to 28th, we saw the best designers throw together some immaculate collections for their Spring 2017 collections. This year most of these upscale designers exhibited the same kind of ambiance, opting for very fairytale-like, whimsical collections. With the soft pastels, delicate embellishments and some down right bold prints, some of these shows were nothing short of a dream come true. You can take a look at some of the best shows ranked below:
2. Ralph & Russo This British fashion house really gave us a show. With a very modern touch of elegance, they've created gowns sporting all different kinds of textures and prints. Showcasing the collection on a white runway really enhanced the modern elegance they brought to the table. Here are some of my favourite looks: 3. Zuhair Murad Not far behind Elie Saab, this Lebanese designer's collection was spectacular in a different way. Murad's stuff is always tasteful, but he is also a risk taker who isn't afraid to draw inspiration from more artisitc perspectives (Check out Olivia Culpo's Golden Globes dress for an example). Here were some of the standouts of the show: 4. Chanel Chanel is one of the most established brands with a very long brand history. With Karl Lagerfeld still remaining the creative director, he delivered another incredible collection. Here are some of the best looks: 5. Ulyana Sergeenko A little bit of an unpredictable designer, I find that her work ranges very widely but always remains very eclectic. Her Spring 2017 collection was very refreshing and quite beautiful. Here a few of best looks: |
